Dr. Currieo is a Family Medicine physician at the Governor’s Square location. He was born in Amarillo, TX, and moved to Tallahassee from Honolulu, HI. Dr. Currieo first began work toward a degree in architectural engineering before he decided to become a doctor and transferred to Oral Roberts University for both his pre-medicine and medical degrees. He completed his residency at the AFSC Regional Hospital at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. Dr. Currieo is board-certified in Family Medicine.
“I feel called to both educate and empower patients to proactively manage their health; to move away from treating ‘disease’ and move to creating wellness,” says Dr. Currieo. As part of his joint clinic, Dr. Currieo is able to employ non-operative procedures to relieve pain and suffering.
Dr. Currieo is actively involved in teaching the next generation of physicians from both the Florida State University College of Medicine and the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital Family Practice Residency Program.
When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Currieo enjoys boating, water sports, snow skiing, and golf. Whether watching the game, helping in the training room, or assisting on the sidelines, he is an avid FSU athletics fan.
